• AfterDark - Use version 2.0u (right— version “u”). With this version, the load order of the INITs no longer matters. The only remaining problems we are aware of are: (1) when using black & white animated arrow cursors, in some programs the animation will stop when AfterDark 2.0u wakes the screen. (2) AfterDark’s demo mode “STOP” button doesn’t draw properly with ClickChange’s “Totally 3D” buttons installed. Both these problems are purely aesthetic and cause no real problems.
• Apple 8/24 GC color card INIT - ClickChange is not completely compatible with any version of this INIT. Sorry.
• Correct Grammar v2.0 - If Correct Grammar’s window shows up blank, use factory standard buttons when in this program.
• DeskPicture - Please version DeskPicture v3.0 or newer to avoid any problems.
• DiskTop 4.0 - If using custom ClickChange buttons, double-clicking folders in DiskTop may not open them. The reason is that DiskTop will sometimes redraw all its buttons when you click on a folder. Some of the fancier ClickChange buttons may take longer to draw than the factory standards. The solution is to go to the “Mouse” cdev in the Control Panel, and lengthen the double-click time.
• HyperCard 2.0 - Several users have reported trouble when using HyperCard 2.0 on any system prior to 6.0.7 with ClickChange installed. Just use factory standard windows if you have trouble.
• Infini-D and ClickChange are not compatible at all. Add Infini-D to the ClickChange Preferences list.
• PseudoFPU and ClickChange are not compatible at all. You can run one or the other. Sorry.
• Quark Xpress - There’s nothing you can do about it, but Xpress uses its own custom scrollbars, and ClickChange cannot change them. Sorry.
• Sigma Utilities’ big cursor feature is not compatible with ClickChange’s custom cursors. You should either disable Sigma’s “big cursor” feature, or use “Factory Standard” cursors in ClickChange.
• Suitcase - If you use Suitcase to open your sound files (instead of installing sounds in your System file) *and* you want ClickChange to play a sound at startup that is contained in one of Suitcase’s files *then* you should make sure that the Suitcase INIT is run before the ClickChange INIT *or* your startup sound will not play.
• SunDesk - Make sure SunDesk’s INIT loads before ClickChange or the two will fight over the right to draw your system cursors. Better yet: use ResEdit to remove all ‘CURS’ and ‘crsr’ resources from SunDesk’s data file and don’t worry about the INIT load order.
• System file - Do not lock the System file or ClickChange will not work properly! ClickChange imports sounds to the System file. System colors, and scrollbar patterns are stored there as well.
